Common Visa Centre in Istanbul

Estonia is represented by Hungary in the Common Visa Application Centre in Istanbul.

Only Turkish citizens living in Istanbul and surrounding areas can apply.

The Visa Information System (VIS) is a system for the Exchange of data between Schengen States. The VIS is progressively being rolled out in the different regions in the world, starting with North Africa, the Near East and Gulf region.

The Republic of Hungary starts the implementation of the Visa Information System  (VIS) also at the consular posts in the Republic of Turkey.

From 11 October the visa applicant’s biometric data (10-digit finger scans and the digital photograph) will be collected.
